Toby and Michael have been in the Interior Decorating business for over 20 years. Their business was started and honed in California as a private decorating business. Later they moved eastward and operated a full service design center in Huntington, New York. This was a retail store that sold Wall Paper, Carpeting, Custom Window treatments, Furniture, Bedding and Accessories. This is the force behind Coni Mar Designs which is a family owned and operated business in the Southwest Florida region since 1982. The company continues to have a reputation for excellent service with many fine name brand products at very competitive prices.
The key to success of Coni Mar Designs is the focus on customer service and attention to details.
Toby’s decorating talents are tailored to the needs and style of each client. Working within the homeowners budget.
Together as a team, the Schleider’s work at ensuring that each project meets their stringent requirements to ensure that the client’s expectations are met.
Wide Range of Experience
Toby’s background includes years of fabric experience from her foundations in the showrooms with some of the most renown fabric mills. Her knowledge of upholstery and drapery treatments comes from years of experience creating room decorations for an upholstery work room. Toby is a graduate from the California Design Institute.
Michael has many years of hands on experience in the field with his engineering background. He has extensive training on all the products from each of the manufacturers. He also has a received professional installer training from the Hunter Douglas Professional Installer Program and is a certified installer.
Product Knowledge
The combination of years of experience, training and detailed product knowledge make the selection process much easier for their clients. This knowledge ensures that each selection is tailored specifically to each home. This allows the client to understand the benefits of each product and its pros and cons as it relates to the needs and tastes of each room in the house. Keeping in mind that not all products are well suited for certain applications, they are able to point out the benefits of each.
Product recommendations are based on solving a particular need, style, situation and budget. Many times there are different solutions that can meet many criteria.
Toby and Michael constantly go to vendor trade shows and conferences to stay up to date with the latest product offerings.
Coni Mar designs is one of the few decorating firms with the ability to show a client a completed room in digital representation to make their selection easier and more understandable.
